Capacity building for cross-border exchange and cooperation of small and medium enterprises of Nišava, Pirot, Jablanica and Pčinja, as well as district of Montana

Overall objective: Creation of condition for economic development in the border region in the process of transition through increasing of cooperation and exchange of contacts in the field of economic development. Strengthening of cross-border activities based on on actual needs of the surrounding, which is the basic prerequisite for durable problem solution.

Specific objective: Creation of mechanisms for better exchange and availability of information, as the basic prerequisite for development of cross-border cooperation in the sector of small and medium business.

Target group: Representatives of small and medium enterprises in the border region (districts of Nišava, Pirot, Jablanica and Pčinja, as well as district of Montana in Bulgaria)

Expected results:
Created information network aiming at efficient information exchange among economic entities (small and medium enterprises) in the border region (website, mailing list, international expert team).
Raised level of knowledge on advantages of direct cooperation in the field of economy between neighbouring countries through examples of good practice, as well as presentation of possibilities related to joint performance on third markets (regional meetings, regional meeting of businessmen, international conference).
Creation of favourable condition for cross-border cooperation of economic entities (small and medium enterprises) through introduction with specificities of legal regulations (Info center, databse of regulations).
Encouragement of local community for business start-up, through examples of good practice and information support (TV show, campaign, enterprises database).
